This may seem completely obvious, but if you send us something and we use it, then people will see  it – we can’t guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any material you send us.

If something goes wrong with anything you send us, it’s your problem – you’re solely responsible for your own material and the consequences of submitting and publishing your material. You affirm, represent, and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish the material you send us; and you understand that you are giving us your stuff for free – a license to MeatThePeople.Org (“MTP”) of all patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights in and to such material for publication.

But it’s still your stuff – you retain all of your ownership rights in your material. However, we get to use the shit out of it – by submitting material to MTP, you hereby grant MTP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the material in connection with MTP’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. And you must share your stuff with other members – by granting each member on the site a non-exclusive license to access your material, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such material as permitted through the functionality of the site. The above licenses granted by you in any material you submit to MTP will terminate within a commercially reasonable time after your material is removed from the site. But we get to decide when, where, how and why your material is removed – the decision to terminate any license shall be in the sole discretion of MTP.  Although, we’ll be cool about it – any request by you to remove your material will be reviewed in our good faith business judgment.  But we do need to keep this stuff in our files forever – you understand and agree that MTP may retain, but not display, distribute, or perform, server copies of your material that have been removed or deleted. The above licenses granted by you are perpetual and irrevocable.

Don’t send us stuff you don’t own – material you submit to MTP will not contain third party copyrighted  material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material  or you are otherwise legally entitled to post the material and to grant MTP all of the license rights granted herein.

Don’t lie to us about your meat affiliations – MTP does not endorse any material submitted by any user or other licensor, or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein, and MTP expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with the material you submit. MTP does not permit copyright infringing activities and infringement of intellectual property rights, and MTP will remove all material if properly notified that such material infringes on another’s intellectual property rights. MTP reserves the right to remove material without prior notice.  If you have professional meat affiliations you may still be able to upload, but if you lie to us you won’t.  All material is verified prior to posting.

We’re not your mother – you agree that your participation on the site shall be at your sole  risk.  To the fullest extent permitted by law, MTP, its officers,  directors, employees, and agents disclaim any and all warranties, express or implied, in connection with your use of the site. MTP makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the      site’s material or the material of any sites linked to this site and assumes no liability or responsibility for any (1)  errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of material, (II) personal injury or      property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from access to and use of our services, (III) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure  server servers and/or any and all personal information and/or financial information stored therein, (IV) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our services, (IV) any bugs, viruses, Trojan      horse, or the like which may be transmitted to or through our services by any third party, and/or (V) any errors or admissions in any material or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any material posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the site.  MTP does not warrant, endorse, guarantee, or assume any responsibility for      any product or service advertised or offered by a third party through the site or any hiperlinked services or featured in any banner or other advertising, and MTP will not be a party to or in any way be responsible for monitoring any transaction between you and third-party providers of products or services.  As with the purchase of a product or service through any medium, or in any environment, you should use your best judgment and exercise caution where appropriate.

We’re not your father – in no event shall MTP, its officers, directors, employees, or agents, be liable  to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or  consequential damages whatsoever resulting from any (I) errors, mistakes,  or inaccuracies of material, (II) personal injury or property damage, of  any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to and use of our site,      (III) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information and/or financial information stored therein (IV) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our services, (IV) any bugs, viruses, Trojan horses, of the like, which may be transmitted to or through our service by any third party, and/or (V) any errors or omissions in any material or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of your use of any material posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the site, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not the company is advised of the possibility of such damages.  The foregoing limitation of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Or your crazy Uncle – you specifically acknowledge that MTP shall not be liable for material or the defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any third party and that the risk of harm or damage from the foregoing rests entirely with you.

We’re MTP USA – The site is controlled and offered by MTP from its facilities in the United States of America. MTP makes no representations that the site is appropriate or available for use in other locations. Those who access or use the service from other jurisdictions do so at their own volition and are responsible for compliance with local law.

And everything is your problem – to the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless MTP, its officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the site; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms of Service; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (iv) any claim that your material caused damage to a third party. And second to last, you agree that: (i) MTP shall be deemed solely based in Nevada; and (ii) that MTP shall be deemed a passive website that does not give rise to personal jurisdiction over MTP, either specific or general, in jurisdictions other than Nevada. These Terms of Service shall be governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of Nevada, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any claim or dispute between you and MTP that arises in whole or in part from use of the site shall be decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in Nevada. These Terms of Service, together with the and any other legal notices published by MTP on the site, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and MTP concerning the site. If any provision of these Terms of Service is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms of Service, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of this these Terms of Service shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and MTP’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. YouTube reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time and without notice, and it is your responsibility to review these Terms of Service for any changes. Your use of the Service following any amendment of these Terms of Service will signify your assent to and acceptance of its revised terms. You and MTP agree that any cause of action arising out of or related to the site must commence within (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred.

Finally, if your material is not selected for use on the site, you recognize that other persons, including MTP employees, may have submitted to MTP or others, or made public, or may in the future create and submit, or make public, similar or identical material that MTP may have the right to use, and you understand that you will not be entitled to any compensation because of MTP’s use of other similar or identical material. You understand and agree that MTP’s use of material containing features or elements similar or identical to those contained in the material you submit will not obligate MTP to negotiate with you or entitle you to any compensation if you have an independent legal right to use that other material.
